The Game (2008)

In 2008 I won a competition for submitting the idea of a game platform that relied on location-awareness. Simply called “The Game”, it is a platform for various games where points and achievements are registered centrally.

The target group for The Game is everybody. The Game would be free for everybody and supported through advertising, rebranding of games and ‘interactive commercial-deals’, such as “the first 50 players arriving at McDonalds will receive a free hamburger”.

Example games would be a hunt for an object or location, quests, puzzle tours. An assignment could be “take a photo of …”, “capture the flag by staying at a location for a while” or “find your buddy”. But other applications could be e-dating, social networking or a virtual market place.
